About the Property
Adorable shepherd’s lodge that was fully renovated in 2017; positioned at the top of the La Pena mountainside (on the same plot as the well known Wallpaper and Boston Beach Houses) the house enjoys incredible 360 views of the Los Lances beach and the mountainside above. Ideal for a couple or family of up to five people.
The house itself is 70m2 and comprises of an open plan sitting room, dining room, kitchen, double bedroom, bunk room and bathroom. The kitchen is well equipped with a four-hob stove, oven and large fridge freezer, there is also a gas Weber BBQ for outside grilling.
The sitting room has a large sofa and chaise longue with views up the mountain, the dining table enjoys sea views on long wooden benches (there is seating for eight). The double bed is 150x200cm with a clothes rail and shelving for clothes. The children’s bedroom is through a charming hobbit-style door (please be warned very tall Northern Europeans), we have built into the room three staggered bunks, all full length at 90 x 200cm. The bunk room has large drawers under the beds and a rail for hanging clothes. The bathroom is next to the children’s room with sink, WC and walk in shower.
In the garden there is a shaded sofa area, outdoor eating for six and for 2018 an outdoor shower for when you come off the beach.
The views from inside and outside the house are staggering and the finish contemporary and elegant with wooden beamed roofs and plenty of black- framed glass throughout.
This property is very much for the nature-lover; our neighbour Rafael has his gentle donkey grazing on the plot and his pigs have a hut 20m up the hill.. The proximity of the house from the beach, 750m, and town, 6km, is what makes La Pena such a popular location, this property is a welcome addition to the rental market!
NB. Please note there are no curtains in the house. The children’s bedroom is dark.

End cleaning is included in the cost for stays of one week or more (65€ for stays of under one week). However, in all cases you are responsible for keeping the property and all its contents in the same state of cleanliness, repair and condition as at the commencement of the holiday. The owner reserves the right to make deductions from the security deposit for any extra cleaning, over the number of hours committed to departure cleaning.
I would recommend a car that is slightly higher off the ground, such as a Citroen Berlingo, Peugeot Partner something of this kind or even just the simple Fiat Panda. Family estate cars can sometimes be very low to the ground and I would definitely never rent a sports car they do not suit the Tarifa roads.
50% non-refundable deposit to be paid by bank transfer, the remaining 50% to be in cash on arrival.
There is a 300E security deposit in the event of any breakages or damage whilst staying at the property, this is refundable within seven days of departure.
Cancellation terms and conditions
50% deposit payment is refundable if the booking is cancelled more than 8 weeks prior to arrival, less administration fees of 20€.
If the booking is cancelled less than 8 weeks prior to arrival and we are able to find other clients we will refund the booking deposit less 20€ for administration fees.
